Biography

Jeremy was born in Los Angeles, California to a loving family. As a family, they moved around the greater Los Angeles area many times under various circumstances. Feeling fortunate to have moved over 10 times in his childhood, it prepared Jeremy for diverse learning opportunities, distinct geographic contexts, and a multicultural view of an American microcosm. Jeremy believes it was pivotal in his development because he's consistently curious and passionate about geography, international issues, exploration, geopolitics, history, places/landscapes, and the people who inhabit them.

Jeremy welcomes questions, critiques, and freelance work, so don’t hesitate to get in touch—he'd love to hear from you!

Left-Brain

Today, I live in the Front-Range of Colorado. I graduated with a Dual Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon in Geography and Business Administration. I keep active: trekking, trail running, and biking an average of 650 miles a year. I enjoy fundraising and volunteering for causes I believe in, like Water for People, the National Speleological Society, the North American Cartographic Information Society, and the Rocky Mountain Orienteering Club. In addition, I love to snowboard / ski, run-dance, practice yoga, cook, play board games and sand volleyball. I (try to) eat a healthy pallet of foods everyday and extremely enjoy fruit (avocados, berries, bananas, and apples specifically).  Over the past couple of years, I've learned (and strive) to maintain balance of the things I love.

Purpose

My intention is to help others grow, explore, learn, and stay curious. As a Geographer and Cartographer, I'm interested in maps, geographic-design, and visual stories—how they can enable and create breakthroughs for modern environmental / ecological conservation intiatives.

My drive in life is grounded by enthusiasm, creativity, listening, empathy, research and international (cross-cultural) understanding. Currently, I have vague aspirations of transforming the educational paradigm of American Geography.

The purpose of this site is to clearly explain my love, passion, and gratitude for you, the world, and it's bountiful opportunities. However trivial or noteworthy, this site illustrates where I've been, where I am, and where I'm going- both personally and professionally.

Right-Brain

Dancing motions compel the heart, mind, and soul in an eclectic mix from the valley of angels.  This life abets an existing passion for running, conversations, hiking, board games, and farmer's markets. The road leads to greater perception, reality, meaning, and truth. There is nothing like exploration, adventure, and freedom.  Thus, the undisturbed dirt is no longer idle where standing on the front range. The palate of this man's interweb is malleable. Transformative for generations, forward, to tell stories, to temporally share space, and manifest colorful landscapes as an anchor. Leeward to windward, a breath lifts my geography, gracefully.

I positively share my life and want to learn something new, together.  Thank you.

This website was originally built just as a place to jot down ideas and express my love for Geography, visualizations, story-telling, and other things I find interesting in life. I have realized that it's beneficial to write, think, and talk about the future of the geographic realm, so I established this platform to do so.  At this point, I am not sure how it will evolve.
